Faculty Development Day
John Jay College 524 W 59th Street, New York, NY, United StatesDynamic Inclusivity conversation
This year, the TLC and our Interim Dean of Faculty, Angela Crossman, are offering a Practical, Inclusive Teaching series to inspire us towards these goals. We are delighted to welcome Guido Giordano, Adjunct Lecturer in Environmental Justice and Sociology, as our moderator. Guido will be each of these six conversations, in which our peers will be discussing their practical, inclusive teaching and learning strategies and responding to audience questions. For the fall, we are focusing on effective uses of our syllabi, and for the spring, we plan to discuss student communication needs and educational technology. Through the year, we will be addressing in person, online, and hybrid teaching. Our first conversation includes faculty from Philosophy and Psychology with deep skills in designing and implementing inclusive syllabi as well as working with OER (Open Educational Resources).
